Lock Stock & Barrel Wines

For this blend we selected 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot from our family vineyards near Willunga, Aldinga and Maslins Beach.We fermented each parcel separately in open 5 tonne stainless steel, then matured each parcel in older French and American oak barrels to retain fruit dominance.

Tasting Notes

The Cabernet Franc lifts the aroma of the wine by adding red cherry and hints of cedar and herbaceous characters to the blackberry of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

The voluptuous fruit and soft tannins provided by the Merlot round off the middle pallet, while the Cabernet Sauvignon gives the wine firmness and structure.

A fruit driven style that can be enjoyed in its youth or will develop under the right cellaring conditions.
