Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc 2008

Tasting Notes

The fruit was picked in the cool of the night once optimum flavour profiles were achieved and processed at the winery within hours. The free run juice was separated from the skins immediately, chilled and clarified. The wine was then cold fermented in closed stainless steel tanks. Once fermentation was completed the wine was clarified and stabilised using traditional techniques and bottled as soon as possible to protect the vibrant characters of the wine and allow their full expression in the bottle.

The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is a true expression of the great growing season in Marlborough. The wine has been made with absolute minimal intervention to allow the vibrant regional characteristics to shine through. The wine is bursting with passionfruit and gooseberry, perfectly accentuated by a touch of the herbaceousness Marlborough is famous for.
